You no longer have to accept less or be afraid to take that first crucial step.

Get to grips with the key basics: literacy, numeracy, and computers. Give yourself the power to participate more fully in society and improve the odds in your favour.

This course will help you:

  • Deal with and better understand the world around you
  • Read signs, make budgets, shop smarter, ask for help, etc
  • Remove employment barriers
  • Move onto other courses

But it’s not all about careers. These are also life skills. This course is about gaining confidence and feeling like you belong. It gives you the tools you need to add your voice, make your mark and move forward.

  • Reading, writing, oral communication, numeracy and learning skills (primarily aligned to Australian Core Skills Framework [ACSF] Level 1)
  • Entry level digital technology and employability skills
  • A pathway to employment and further vocational training

Recent migrants and/or those for whom English remains a serious hurdle, or those previously disadvantaged by or disengaged from standard schooling, may find this an ideal pathway to the skills and confidence they wish they had.

Course participant Crystall

Completed Cert IV in Disability with WTS (previously AST) online, trainers were extremely helpful and the online portal was easy to navigate. Would highly recommend WTS.

Course Participant Emma

I would highly recommend WTS (previously AST) and if I decide to do more study I will definitely be using WTS.

Course Participant Heidi

I wanted a change of careers and WTS (previously AST) was the best experience for me, and the best thing that I could have done. WTS went above and beyond to find a course that suited my needs, the enrolment process was a breeze and I was supported through the process. Starting a course as an adult was very nerve racking, but the trainer I had ensured every single students needs were met and catered his teaching style to suit their needs, a very inclusive organisation and a very safe environment to be in.
